Summary: Lanzarote wins hands down for entertainment in all the places I’ve stayed. Fuerteventura is a lot quieter. Both places are nice though. Good electrical deals are available in both places.

Corralejo is an old fishing village, there is the old town, called “casco viejo” where lived “majoreros” (name of Fuerteventura’s population) and a modern town built from the ’70s. In 1969 was inaugurated the new airport in the island, just 5 km from Puerto Rosario. This replaced the military airport of Tefia.

Corralejo is not a bad place still to park (nowhere in the whole island is), so feel free to move by car. In the North Coast there are very nice beaches which are very worth to visit, in a route that follows the coast from Corralejo to El Cotillo via Majanicho. The road is not that good as it is if you go South.
