What does it mean to be registered with the GPhC?
To practise in Great Britain, pharmacists and pharmacy technicians must be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) and have satisfied us that they meet our requirements.
How often is the GPhC register updated?

How long does it take to register with GPhC?

The GPhC aims to process all complete applications for registration within 28 days of receipt.
How do I get GPhC approval?
Before you can apply to register as a pharmacist with the GPhC through this route, you must complete:
- an Overseas Pharmacists’ Assessment Programme (OSPAP)
- 52 weeks of foundation training in England, Scotland or Wales signed off as satisfactory by your tutor.
- the GPhC registration assessment with a pass result.
What is GPhC exam?
The General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) exam otherwise known as the “Registration Assessment” or “Pre-reg exam” is a professional licensure assessment of pharmacy graduates in the UK.

How do I join the GPhC register?
Is Indian pharmacy degree valid in UK?
In short, Indian pharmacy degrees are not directly accepted by the UK you will need to do a 1-year University-based conversion course called the OSPAP, after this, you will need to do the “pre-reg exam” and then you will become licensed to work by the GPhC (see below).

What happens if you fail GPhC exam?
