What’s the difference between Ultex and Tortex sharp?
Been using the Ultex Sharp .72 for a few years. They’re a little “snappier” than the tortex. I like the tone and feel. They also don’t seem to wear down as fast That’s helpful. Ultex lasts longer, and has a bit less friction on the string. I like them. I use Ultex 1mm standard. I dunno exactly why. I just prefer the feel to tortex or nylon.
What’s the difference between a delrin and a Tortex pick?
Tortex is a Delrin variant as are Gatorgrips and Delrin 500’s. I don’t like Delrin in guages under 1.5mm as the picks have an annoying “click” to them. Delrin has a nice midrange tone in the thicker guages with the right point/bevel.
