Do I have to wear a mask at Houston Museum of Natural Science?
Unvaccinated patrons as well as those who would still prefer to wear a mask when visiting the museum are encouraged to do so while on site. Social distancing will also continue to be supported. For now, we will require face masks for all staff who engage with the public.

Flash photography is ONLY allowed in the Grand Hall and the rainforest of the Cockrell Butterfly Center. Selfie sticks, tripods and camera stands are not allowed anywhere in HMNS, HMNS at Sugar Land and the George Observatory. Photography is not allowed in certain exhibitions.
Can you bring food into Houston Museum of Natural Science?
Food and beverages are not allowed inside the Museum exhibit halls or theaters. Outside groups ordering will incur a service charge depending on amount of attendees.
