Bernard O’Callaghan bought the Listowel Arms from the Ryan family. A one-time Kerry footballer, he grew up in Moyvane, just five miles outside the town of Listowel, and married Josephine Ahern from Ballylongford, another of north Kerry’s vital village/towns.
