What happens if I void a shipping label?
When you then void the original label it will cause ShipStation to think the item has not been shipped yet (because it is not associated with a shipment) and the order will remain in the Awaiting Shipment status. If this has happened, use the Mark as Shipped option to move the order from Awaiting Shipment to Shipped.
Am I required to send my package on the date that is printed on my shipping label?
Yes. The USPS requires that all mailpieces bearing shipping labels are mailed on the date shown on the label. If you are preparing your package, remember that you can post date your shipping by as much as a week by resetting the Mailing Date in the Stamps.com client.
Can I use an old shipping label?
Generally, you can still use a label a few days after the Ship Date – but, it is up to your local postal worker’s discretion, so make sure you’re super nice to them about it 😉 That said, USPS doesn’t mind if you try to use the label earlier than the chosen Ship Date.
How long does prepaid postage last?
All shipping labels can be postdated 7 days, except for Priority Mail Express and International shipping labels which can only be postdated 3 days.
